Cameron Davies Celebrates 1 Year with Ashley Kate HR & Finance
Today, we celebrate the first work anniversary of Cameron Davies, Senior Recruitment Consultant in our Ashley Kate team.
We sat down with Cameron this week to discuss his journey within Ashley Kate HR & Finance so far, since his return to the business, and explore his ambitions moving forward.
Reflecting on your first year back with Ashley Kate HR & Finance, what are some of the most memorable moments or achievements?
There have been a few but I think being able to partner with a growing organisation in Leeds and place a HR Manager to support and maintain their growth. Being able to support ambitious exciting companies is the best part of our job!
What attracted you back to Ashley Kate, and has your experience matched your expectations?
Ashley Kate has a strong reputation in the HR market. The opportunity to work with a knowledgeable and supportive team is always a great driver. Being able to work in the Yorkshire market again and support senior roles was also a great attraction for me.
Have you learnt anything significant during your first year back with Ashley Kate HR & Finance?
Since rejoining, I have certainly gained a deeper understanding of the HR world, especially at the strategic and senior levels. Having the opportunity to speak with senior candidates and understand the challenges they face due to all the change this year, has certainly been a great learning curve for me.
How do you feel you’ve grown both personally and professionally during your time here?
Professionally, I have developed my understanding of the full HR landscape. There has been a lot of change within the UK over the last year which has been a constant learning curve which has improved my understanding and also the importance of being adaptable to the market demands. I have grown in my ability to manage my work-life balance more effectively and the importance of mental well-being and how much it can impact you in and outside of work.
Looking ahead, what are your aspirations/goals for the next year of your career with Ashley Kate HR & Finance?
My primary goal is to continue expanding our presence in the Yorkshire market and build stronger relationships with clients and candidates. I am always keen to develop my understanding and knowledge of emerging HR trends and the ever-changing landscape. Internally, I would like to take on a more involved role with mentoring junior recruiters who join the business, especially as we go through an exciting expansion period.
